UCF Business Incubation client reaches milestone with $1.5 million in total life sales

Winter Springs, Fla., August 13, 2020 – A business’ success or failure can often be determined within the first couple of years. For Winter Springs-based Tech Rage IT, it’s truly been a success.

The company recently celebrated its five-year anniversary. Over those years, the company has surpassed more than $1.5 million in combined revenue and has grown from the two founding partners to eight employees and contractors.

“Starting a business has a significant amount of risk,” says Erica Martinez-Rose, CEO, Tech Rage IT. “I knew this would be the right move and couldn’t have been happier with the results.”

We all know that overwhelming feeling of stress, anger, and anxiety when technology is not functioning correctly. The need for immediate help when dealing with technology has created an emotion best described as “tech rage”.

And that is where Tech Rage IT was born - to help businesses reduce the raging headaches caused by IT interruptions.

In the last five years, the company has learned five critical business lessons, which inspired Tech Rage IT’s core values:

  1. Get it done – Clients trust us to prevent and solve issues the first time and quickly. “That’s not my job," is not in our vocabulary.
  2. Create raving fans – We need to do whatever it takes to deliver outstanding results and create wildly successful customers who rave about our people and service.
  3. Own it – We must hold ourselves accountable for outcomes, good and bad, while operating with transparency.
  4. Trust and Develop – We must trust that our team will make the best decisions for the success of our company. We will provide an environment that fosters personal development and professional growth.
  5. Humility – We still have a lot to learn, and value the talent, time and intentions of everyone we come across: clients, advisors, strategic partners and employees.

Martinez-Rose founded Tech Rage IT in 2015. The company began as a consulting firm, providing high-level IT solutions to enterprise and global 200 companies.

Over the next few years, the company created footprints in the Central Florida market by supporting small businesses with their technology. Tech Rage IT was accepted into the UCF Business Incubation Program in the fall of 2018, where the company established its headquarters providing sales, consulting, and support services.

Realizing the need for forward-thinking technology support in the commercial market, in the last 12 months, Tech Rage IT pivoted to delivering “as-a-service” managed IT, VoIP phone systems, hardware as well as remote working and cloud solutions.

Tech Rage IT has also expanded its reach to other markets including Tampa, New York and, Chicago, to name a few.

In the last year, the company was awarded a trademark on its signature tag line, “We Prevent Tech Rage.”

As Tech Rage IT looks forward to continued service and expansion of its portfolio of local and national clients, the company will continue supporting its vision to prevent technology frustrations and help businesses operate at their full potential.

Reflecting on five years in business, Martinez-Rose said, “We couldn’t have accomplished this significant milestone without the help, trust and dedication of agencies like the UCF Business Incubation Program, the SBDC and our advisory board council, the Seminole County Chamber, as well as our staff and most importantly our clients. And we sincerely thank everyone for their continued support.”
