Tech Rage IT’s Matt Rose Discusses Security Risks of Emerging AI Platforms on FOX 35 Orlando
Longwood, Fla., (February 16, 2026) - As artificial intelligence tools continue to evolve at an unprecedented pace, new platforms are raising serious questions about data security and misuse. Tech Rage IT's Chief Experience Officer and co-founder, Matt Rose, joined FOX 35 Orlando to discuss emerging AI platforms such as Moltbook and Open Claw, and the growing risks businesses should understand before adopting new AI tools.
During the segment, Rose explained that the rapid evolution of AI presents one of the biggest challenges organizations face today.
"It's evolving at a pace that makes it difficult to
establish consistent guardrails," Rose said. "Just when you think you
understand one platform, another tool launches with new capabilities and new
risks."
"This isn't just about humans being tricked anymore," Rose explained. "We're seeing situations where AI agents themselves are being manipulated into exposing data. If guardrails aren't carefully designed, these systems can unintentionally disclose sensitive information."
The segment also addressed Open Claw, an open-source AI application designed to automate routine tasks such as responding to emails, booking travel, and interacting with other applications. While the productivity benefits may sound appealing, Rose emphasized that granting autonomous tools broad access to business systems can introduce significant vulnerabilities.
"When you give an AI agent access to email, messaging platforms, or internal systems, you're effectively giving it visibility into critical business data," Rose said. "If that system is tricked or compromised, the impact can be immediate."
Rose highlighted several risks, including prompt injection attacks, malicious plugins, and the broader dangers associated with open-source AI tools that may lack enterprise-grade security controls.
He cautioned businesses against impulsively installing or experimenting with new AI applications without proper review.
"You wouldn't plug an unknown USB device into your computer," Rose said. "New AI tools should be approached the same way. Research them first. Understand what data they access and what permissions they require."
While emphasizing the risks, Rose made clear that AI is not going away and can offer significant benefits when implemented responsibly.
"AI is here to stay," he said. "The key is education, policy, and visibility. Businesses need to train employees on safe usage and implement monitoring tools so they understand how AI platforms are being used within their environment."
As AI adoption accelerates across industries, Rose encouraged organizations to focus on governance and awareness rather than reacting after an incident occurs.
