Tech Rage IT’s Matt Rose Discusses AI Privacy on FOX 35 Orlando

Longwood, Fla., (October 12, 2026) — Matt Rose of Tech Rage IT joined FOX 35's Good Day Orlando to help viewers better understand how to use ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools more safely.

During the live segment, Rose demonstrated privacy settings in ChatGPT and discussed why users should understand the difference between model training, chat history, memory, temporary chats, and shared conversations.

"AI is a powerful tool, and people should absolutely use it," said Rose. "But it should be treated like any other cloud service. Turning off model training is a smart privacy step, but it is not a confidentiality agreement. Think before you paste."

Rose encouraged individuals to review privacy settings in the AI platforms they use and avoid entering highly sensitive information into personal AI accounts. That includes passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account details, medical information, tax records, and confidential business or client documents.

For businesses, Rose emphasized that the answer is not to avoid AI altogether. Instead, organizations should choose the right AI platform for their needs, establish clear policies, provide employee education, and set appropriate security and access controls.

"Many people are using AI to organize their day, write, research, and solve problems," Rose said. "The goal is not fear. It is making sure people understand where their information may go and how to make better decisions before sharing it."
