Tech Rage IT CEO Matt Rose Discusses Artificial Intelligence Self-Regulation and Business Cybersecurity on FOX 35 Orlando

Longwood, Fla., (October 1, 2026) -Matt Rose, CEO of Central Florida managed IT and cybersecurity provider Tech Rage IT, appeared on FOX 35 Orlando Live with Garrett Wymer to discuss artificial intelligence self-regulation, independent audits, and what the national AI conversation means for small and midsize businesses.

The interview followed a White House meeting with leaders from major technology companies, including Google, Anthropic, Meta, OpenAI, xAI, and NVIDIA. The meeting centered on artificial intelligence, referred to in a new executive order as "super intelligence," and included pledges from several large technology companies around self-regulation and independent auditing.

During the interview, Rose discussed the challenge of balancing AI innovation with accountability.

"There is a real balance here," said Rose. "Too much regulation could slow development, especially as the U.S. competes with countries like China. But at the same time, these companies hold a lot of power, and there has to be some level of accountability."

Rose said independent auditors could become one of the most important parts of the proposed AI framework, depending on how much access and authority they are given.

"If the auditors are truly independent and have real access, that could be a key piece of this," Rose said. "The question is what happens if companies do not follow through. A pledge is a start, but we still need to understand what accountability looks like."

Rose also emphasized that artificial intelligence safety should not only be viewed as a government or big tech issue. Small and midsize businesses also need to take responsibility for how AI tools are used inside their organizations.

"Whether AI is regulated by the government, self-policed by large technology companies, or somewhere in the middle, businesses still have to be responsible," Rose said. "They need to know how employees are using AI, what data is being entered, what tools are approved, and who is reviewing AI-generated output before it is trusted."

As artificial intelligence tools continue to evolve rapidly, Tech Rage IT encourages businesses to create internal AI policies, train employees on safe AI usage, and protect sensitive client, employee, operational, and financial information.

"AI is changing daily, sometimes hourly," Rose said. "Business owners cannot assume everything is covered just because national conversations are happening. AI responsibility has to show up inside everyday businesses too."

For Central Florida businesses, Rose said the most practical starting point is not waiting for final government regulation, but creating clear internal guidance now.

"Businesses should start with the basics," Rose said. "Decide which AI tools are approved, define what information employees should never enter into those tools, and make sure someone is reviewing AI-generated work before it is used with clients, vendors, or employees."
